Promoting learning of crucial work skills among young people
Objectives
The project stems from the need expressed by young people to learn a set of skills that are crucial for work, as they are at the base of the request to find already experienced workers.
Behind this request often lies the need to find not so much people perfectly trained in hard skills, usually transmitted through in-house training at the beginning of work practice, but above all people who already possess a certain measure of transversal relational, organisational and social meta-skills, which are generally under the umbrella of “organizational behavior” or “organizational etiquette”.
These skills are very rarely taught in educational or training courses, but generally acquired informally during work practice. Them are all the more necessary for those who, coming from a socially and culturally disadvantaged or very distant background possess fewer abilities to readily recognise and implement social behaviour appropriate to the workplace.
The main objective of the project is therefore to reduce the time gap in preparing young people to adopt a mindset oriented towards correct social and organisational behaviour at work.
