Greening Youth Minds
The GYM (Greening Youth Minds) project is geared towards empowering youth organizations and workers to effectively promote young people’s commitment to environmental protection. It aims to heighten awareness about environmental risks among both vulnerable and general youth populations, encouraging proactive engagement through top-down and bottom-up mechanisms. GYM seeks to empower young individuals to be active citizens before and after disasters, emphasizing the reduction of exposure risks and well-trained volunteerism.
The project’s implementation involves creating essential resources and providing specific training sessions for youth workers. Anticipated outcomes include continuous professional development for youth workers, support for youth strategies, and heightened awareness of environmental sustainability. The tangible results encompass a digital learning applied game, guidelines for organizations, a learning program and handbook, local engagement strategies, and sustainability actions.
