Our project GARDENS4ALL has been approved
We are happy to announce the approval of the GARDENS4ALL project presented in March!
This interesting project focuses on improving communication and socialization between immigrants, refugees and host communities through the implementation of community gardens.
Some of the objectives of this proposal are:
– Reduction of stress levels of migrants, refugees.
– Development of interaction between the local population and migrants, refugees and host communities.
– Improvement of urban life.
– Improvement of environmental protection by bringing people closer to nature,
– Decentralization of food production, so that transportation costs decrease.
– Cultural bridge on the use of experiences in food cultivation, both for refugees, migrants and host communities.
From IKIGAIInstitute we will develop the #toolkit where we will summarize good practices of community gardening that aims to show successful transnational practices on the participation of migrants and refugees in community gardening programs and initiatives.
