EI4FUTURE Project
Learning emotional resilience and strengthening adults’ self-awareness and motivation
Objectives:
By carrying out this project we want to achieve the following objectives:
- To define appropriate Emotional Resilience learning objectives through need, comparative analysis and focus groups (R1);
- To develop the Handbook “EI4Future” of approximately 80 pages, based on problem-solving techniques, efficient stress management, and development of work-life balance (R1);
- To improve people’s work-life balance and develop their abilities in dealing with emotions;
- To enhance awareness and knowledge on Gamification, through the creation of approx. 80 cards, 30 pages of instructions on how to use them (R1);
- To improve adults’ self-awareness and motivation in LLP, through the MOOC (R2); – To empower adults with fewer opportunities in activities related to LLP and Emotional Resilience, thanks to the inclusion of subtitles and voice-over in the developed materials (R2):
- To create an inclusive and comprehensive MOOC (R2), to ensure full accessibility to the project’s contents and results on a wide scale; The innovative aspects of the project outcomes are provided by the gamification elements, which will increase the appeal and motivation in learning as well as the ability to retain knowledge and acquire new skills, especially in adults facing different types of obstacles.
Moreover, the development of a MOOC will guarantee full transferability and adaptability in other fields and be employed for lifelong learning in the adult education sector.
Implementation:
To achieve the aforementioned objectives, we plan to implement 2 Project Results (Rn):
R1 – “EI4Future”
- From Emotional Management to Emotional Resilience”
- Training Materials with Techniques Using Gamification
R2 – MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) “EI4Future
– from Emotional Management to Emotional Resilience”, including educational videos.
- Specific activities will be developed to reach goals and objectives:
- Preparation of an ad-hoc methodology, based on careful need analysis, followed by a comparative report, and the thorough identification of Emotional Intelligence learning objectives;
- Production of a Handbook, “EI4Future”, aiming at the empowerment of adults with fewer opportunities in acquiring skills and competencies to enhance their Emotional Resilience;
- Development of Gamification-based materials, in support of the manual;
- Implementation of piloting training (8 sessions training) to test and train the participants, and optimising the materials;
- Creation of at least 8 educational videos to be included in the MOOC;
- Piloting activity, with 150 adults with fewer opportunities, to test the use of the MOOC and perfect it.
Moreover, 4 Transnational Meetings (TPMs) will be organised at key points of the project, to guarantee better control on the progress, quality of the deliverables, to check on the working methodologies, budget and timetables. This will lead to a smooth implementation of project outcomes.
