VAPA partners meet in Zaragoza for the 3rd Transnational Project Meeting
On 8–9 September 2026, the VAPA consortium gathered in Zaragoza, Spain, for its third Transnational Project Meeting, hosted by Instituto IKIGAI. The meeting focused on reviewing progress, refining the e-learning platform and preparing the next stage of the project.
Over two days, partners worked together to review the development of the VAPA e-learning platform and the six training modules that will support performing artists in strengthening their professional skills. The meeting provided an opportunity to assess the progress achieved so far and identify the final improvements needed before the platform moves towards its next phase.
One of the key topics discussed was the development of the puppeteering course, together with the translation of the platform and training materials into different languages. Partners also exchanged views on course participation and certification, with the aim of creating a learning experience that is accessible, consistent and engaging for performing artists across Europe.
The consortium also explored how theatre, visual storytelling and inclusive approaches can help performing artists communicate with different audiences and overcome language and cultural barriers.
The second day of the meeting focused on dissemination, visibility, engagement with local and sectoral stakeholders, project management and the upcoming action plan. These discussions will help partners coordinate the next activities and strengthen the project’s reach among performing artists and relevant organisations.
With the English version of the course approaching completion, translations progressing and the VAPA e-learning platform planned for launch in November 2026, the Zaragoza meeting represented an important milestone for the project.
Instituto IKIGAI was pleased to welcome the VAPA partners to Zaragoza and contribute to two days of collaboration, knowledge exchange and joint planning as the project moves closer to bringing its learning opportunities to performing artists across Europe.
VAPA – Virtual Academy for Performing Artists aims to support performing artists by providing accessible digital learning opportunities and tools to strengthen their professional development.
