Instituto Ikigai continues to develop training activities במסגרת the European project Media Masters, an initiative focused on strengthening media literacy among young people and fostering a more critical and engaged citizenship.
Currently, interactive and dynamic learning sessions are being held at the Azucarera Center, where young students actively participate in workshops designed to improve their ability to analyze information while navigating the internet. These sessions combine participatory methodologies, experiential learning, and innovative tools that allow participants to face real-life situations involving misinformation.
The main objective of these activities is to equip young people with key skills to identify and analyze digital content, distinguishing between reliable information and fake news. In a context where information spreads rapidly, developing critical thinking has become an essential skill for democratic participation and informed decision-making.
The Media Masters project, co-funded at the European level, promotes this approach through interactive workshops, educational games, and digital resources that make learning practical and engaging. Thanks to initiatives like this, young people across Europe are improving their ability to recognize media manipulation and understand the impact of misinformation on society.
During the sessions held in Zaragoza, participants work with real examples, analyze social media content, and learn how to verify sources, question headlines, and reflect on the role of media in shaping public opinion. These activities not only enhance digital skills but also promote values such as responsibility, independent thinking, and civic engagement.
Instituto Ikigai highlights the importance of continuing to bring these types of training opportunities closer to young people, especially in educational and youth environments, as a key tool to combat misinformation and build a more informed, critical, and resilient society.
