We met with our partners from Ethiopia in Rome
DELTA (Digital Empowering Learning Tools for Africa), co-funded by the EU through Erasmus+, strengthens the technical and vocational education and training (TVET) system in Ethiopia for young people aged 18 to 29, with a focus on the construction sector. The project brings together six European and Ethiopian organizations: Skill Up Srl (coordinator), Instituto Ikigai, Federal TVET Institute, Addis Ababa Science and Technology University, Ovid Academy, and Ovid Construction.
LTTA in Rome
From May 18 to 22, 2026, the DELTA project’s LTTA (Learning, Teaching, and Training Activity) was held in Rome. During this week, consortium members participated in professional training courses aimed at improving skills in the construction sector, in line with the project’s objectives of integrating technical, digital, management, and entrepreneurship training.
Visit to FORMEDIL
As part of the LTTA program, the group visited FORMEDIL, an Italian organization in the construction and training sector. FORMEDIL is also notable for employing asylum seekers, promoting their training and reintegration into the labor market—an example of best practices in inclusion that aligns with the social inclusion objectives of the DELTA project itself.
Conclusion
The LTTA in Rome represented a concrete step forward in the development of DELTA, combining technical training with the exchange of experiences among consortium partners. The project continues to move toward its central objective: strengthening vocational training systems and supporting young Ethiopians in the construction sector.
