On October 30, as partners in the European MEDMAS project, we organized a conference in Zaragoza that filled us with inspiration and learning about digital communication. We were surrounded by great professionals and friends from the digital world, such as ENJOY ZARAGOZA and DESVERGONZAUS, along with psychologist Beatriz Martínez Téllez, an expert in cyberbullying.
We shared a round table discussion and many reflections on the current challenges in social media. The session, which was moderated by journalist Jorge Heras Pastor, was especially appreciated for its dynamism and direct interaction with the audience, who participated in live challenges and questions.
During the event, we discussed how to identify fake news in our daily lives, shared real examples, and discovered techniques to strengthen our critical thinking and take care of our mental health on the internet.
In addition, we had the opportunity to present MEDMAS’s new free training materials, which reflect our commitment to innovative and accessible media literacy for the community. We closed the afternoon by making new connections in a networking session that allowed us to build bridges between young people, professionals, and organizations in Zaragoza.
At Ikigai, we appreciate the involvement and enthusiasm of those who joined us on this day. We are motivated to continue organizing activities that bring responsible digital communication and well-being to the public. All information about upcoming workshops and resources is available on our website.
