Between October 28 and 30, Instituto Ikigai held participatory workshops in Zaragoza as part of the European MEDMAS project, focusing on strengthening media literacy and critical thinking among young people and educators. The activities—held at a youth center in an inclusive workshop format—provided practical tools for detecting fake news, evaluating the credibility of sources, and reflecting on the responsible use of digital media.

Participants from different educational levels engaged in games, debates, and collaborative activities, exploring the effects of media manipulation and social media. The inclusive approach ensured the participation of students with diverse needs, fostering a safe and accessible environment.

The sessions concluded with a round table discussion with journalists, digital creators, and an expert on cyberbullying, who provided complementary perspectives on current communication. The final assessment highlights high participation, overall satisfaction, and a tangible improvement in critical thinking skills in the face of misinformation.
